Veronica in 2008 was guest Hogar Santa Maria de los Angeles a charity for youth & ugrave; in trouble & agrave; founded by his father Giuseppe Vercelli Minghetti, and attending the adjoining secondary school. In 2011 he graduated and enrolled in a university of pharmacy but the conditions of his legs deformed by rickets accentuated soon impose a stop to this project. Through local contacts we learn that in Santa Cruz there is a medical team that applying the principles of surgery orthopedists Russian Gavril Ilizarov widespread in South America from Italian Dr.. Maurizio Catagni would be able to help in significant ways.

Our Association has a leader of a group of Italian friends to fund the project. The sanit & aggravation; Bolivian, private-as in many countries of the South, few surprises as budgets starting soon prove unrealistic by default for & ograve; project participants decide to go all the way and thanks to the courage and determination of Veronica who never hesitated despite the complexity & agrave; and the duration of the course to which he had to undergo surgery. From 10 May 2012 with the first intervention until January 2015 glue removal of the last Ilizarov apparatus Veronica enters the operating room for well 6 times but eventually the satisfaction of being able to resume his studies of pharmacy.
